Please join with other community members to welcome David Edwards from the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, where he is director of the Winchester Regional Office. Learn about historic districts listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places, what designation means to property owners within a historic district, and the benefits and advantages of being in a state and national historic district. Learn about the process of nominating Hollin Hills to the national and state registers.

Bring your questions or use some of these listed below!

  • What is the National Register of Historic Places? Who administers it? What kinds of properties are on the National Register?
  • Is it true that there may be tax credits available for some work on our homes if the neighborhood is listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register?
  • How unique is Hollin Hills? Are there other "modern" communities like ours already on the state and national registers?

While these and many other questions already can be answered by reading our own web site www.HollinHills.org/NationalRegister and linking to others, this is your chance to ask an expert. Don't miss this opportunity!
