Hollin Hills is a development in Fairfax County, Virginia, about 10 miles outside of Washington, DC. It has about 450 houses. It was designed by Charles Goodman and developed by Robert Davenport.

Community July 4th Picnic

The community July 4th picnic is a long standing Hollin Hills tradition. Held in Voight Park (corner of Paul Spring and Rippon Rds, behind the HH pool)., from noon to 2 pm on the 4th of July.

This family event has for many year brought together residents of Hollin Hills for an afternoon of socializing, good food, games, and Patriotic display.

The Civic Association provides hot dogs, beer and soda. Attendees bring salads, side dishes, and desserts.

Music is provided by a live orchestra. Activities include various games, a pony ride, bike decorating the blueberry bake-off contests.

This is an excellent opportunity for new, current, and former members of the community to socialize.

The picnic is held rain or shine, as last years attendees will attest, when we had both, including a flash flood. But it was still a memorable and fun filled event.
